About
Sky Relics is me, Tom Maund. I photograph, film and 3D-scan the places and things around Devon and the South West.
I'm based in Devon and work across heritage, property, commercial and creative projects. I'm a bit obsessed with places, especially old ones, and with recording them properly before they change.
One job might be a drone flight over a viaduct, the next a documentary film or a 3D model accurate enough for a scientist to work from. Often it's a few of those on the same project.
I've been shooting professionally since 2003, and writing code since the late 90s. Over the years that's taken in game development, web development and plenty in between, including a time-and-place mapping project and a long stretch on public transport systems, from maps and journey planning to the back-office software running behind them.
It also means I build my own software when I need to. Frame Filter, which pulls the sharpest frames out of video for photogrammetry, started that way.
