Sky Relics is a photography, film and 3D documentation studio based near Bideford in North Devon, run by Tom Maund. It records the places, people and stories of the South West, from heritage sites and landscapes to community projects, in photographs, documentary film and interactive 3D, capturing them properly before they disperse. Work spans Torridge, Devon, Cornwall and the wider South West, using video, aerial photography, photogrammetry 3D scanning, 360° capture, sculpture and exhibitions.

Sky Relics is the working name of Tom Maund, a photographer and filmmaker based near Bideford in North Devon. He records the places, people and stories of the South West, with a particular pull towards the old and overlooked ones, and a conviction that they are worth documenting properly before they change.

The work ranges widely. One week it is a drone flight over a viaduct or a stretch of coast; the next a documentary film, a survey of a historic building, or a commercial shoot for a local business. What holds it together is an interest in place, and in getting the record right.

Alongside photography and film, Sky Relics builds interactive 3D. Using photogrammetry, Gaussian-splat scanning and 360° capture, it turns buildings, objects and landscapes into models you can explore in a browser, so a place that may not survive is preserved in a form people can actually walk through.

Much of the work is heritage and community documentation across Torridge, Devon and Cornwall, sitting alongside property, commercial and creative commissions. Recent projects include lifeboat restoration, the historic ships of the Torridge, and vanished industrial sites of the North Devon coast.

Sky Relics works with businesses, communities, museums and event organisers, and welcomes media enquiries and story ideas from journalists covering the South West. Images and 3D models are available for editorial use with credit.
