New images document Appledore & Instow Regatta 2026
A selection of new photographs documenting Sunday's Appledore & Instow Regatta has been released for use by local media.
The photographs were taken by North Devon heritage and media project Sky Relics during the Regatta Day on Sunday 9 August and form part of a wider photographic and film record of the event.
The collection includes views from within the event as well as aerial photographs showing the regatta in its wider setting on the Torridge estuary, with Appledore and Instow on opposite sides of the water.

The accompanying photographs may be reproduced by news and community publications in editorial coverage relating to the 2026 Appledore & Instow Regatta.

The photographs were created as part of Sky Relics' independent work documenting North Devon's places, communities, events and maritime heritage. A selection has now been made available specifically for editorial use by local news and community publications.
We also filmed and photographed the Bideford Fair and boat races the day before. Films documenting both days are being prepared for publication by Sky Relics and are available on request.
